Larry Brackney
Dr. Brackney is an innovative controls engineer, expert in crafting designs to meet complex controls objectives for nonlinear, multiple input multiple output (MIMO), plants. By using a documented, model-based approach, Larry not only delivers solutions that work; he will also prepare your organization for application and evolution of the controller design.
Professional Profile
Dr. Brackney has an earned doctorate and over 12 years of experience in automotive controls and system modeling. Responsibilities have included algorithm design for emissions compliant diesel engines as well as advanced alternative fuels and combustion research engines, development of dynamic systems models for engines and their subsystems, development of tools and processes for rapid prototyping and revision control of algorithms for delivery to the production process, and management of modeling and controls projects.
Larry holds twelve patents with several more pending, covering a broad range of topics from cooled EGR control to control techniques for advanced combustion processes. He also has direct experience in a variety of fields, including vibration, active noise control, and building automation.
